Violent Israeli attacks in Lebanon after monitoring Hezbollah movements

The Israeli army announced, in the early hours of Sunday morning, that it was launching a wave of preemptive attacks on southern Lebanon, after learning that Hezbollah was preparing to launch rockets and missiles at Israel.

Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said, "The Air Force began a wave of attacks in Lebanon. A preemptive attack."

He added: "A short while ago, we discovered Hezbollah's preparations to launch rockets and missiles at Israel. After that, we will attack proactively to remove the threat to the citizens of Israel."

Hagari continued: "Air Force planes are now attacking terrorist targets in Lebanon, from which we discover that Hezbollah is preparing to launch threats to our lands."
