The New Testament church was born in a blaze of glory. The Holy Ghost came down with fire, and the early Christians experienced a powerful move of God that transformed lives, communities, and nations. As we approach the final hours of this age, many wonder how the church will go out. Will it be weak, compromised, and powerless? Or will it go out victorious, full of the same fire and glory that marked its beginning? Today, we will explore the promise of a last revival—a powerful outpouring of God's Spirit in the final hour—and understand why this generation is called to experience and participate in this great move of God.

1. The Birth of the Church in Fire

Scripture: "When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:1-4, NKJV)

2. The Church Will Not Go Out in Defeat

Scripture: "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." (Matthew 16:18, NKJV)

3. A Great Falling Away, Yet a Great Revival

Scripture: "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons." (1 Timothy 4:1, NKJV)

4. The Remnant Church: A Reflection of the New Testament Church

Scripture: "And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn." (Zechariah 12:10, NKJV)

5. A Revival Promised in the Word

Scripture: "Sing, O barren, you who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married woman, says the Lord." (Isaiah 54:1, NKJV)

6. An Outpouring of Kindness and Mercy

Scripture: "For a mere moment I have forsaken you, but with great mercies I will gather you. With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you, says the Lord, your Redeemer." (Isaiah 54:7-8, NKJV)

7. A Revival of Repentance and Holiness

8. The Restoration of the Backslidden

Scripture: "I have seen his ways, and will heal him; I will also lead him, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners." (Isaiah 57:18, NKJV

9. The Church Will Break Forth on All Sides

Scripture: "Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, and your descendants will inherit the nations, and make the desolate cities inhabited." (Isaiah 54:2-3, NKJV)

10. A Church Without Shame or Reproach

Scripture: "Fear not, for you will not be ashamed; neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; for you will forget the shame of your youth, and will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore." (Isaiah 54:4, NKJV)
Commentary: The last revival will cleanse the church of all shame and reproach. No longer will the church be mocked or powerless before the enemy. It will rise in purity and strength, bringing honor to the name of Christ. This is the promise for the true church—victory over all that has brought shame and disgrace.

The church of Jesus Christ is not going out with a whimper or a limp. It is going out in a blaze of glory, with the same fire that marked its birth. This last revival will be a powerful outpouring of God's Spirit, bringing repentance, restoration, and righteousness. God is calling His people to rise up, to be part of this final move, and to witness His mighty works in these last days.

Let us not settle for anything less than the full promise of God. Let us be the generation that experiences and participates in the last revival—a revival that will see multitudes saved, the backslidden restored, and the name of Jesus exalted above all.
