Apatros Review Ep-0096: Maximum Revenge [1998] ("Maximum Security")

AR-0096: Another Fred Olen Ray 1990s DTV [direct-to-video] B-actioner to add to my ever-growing catalogue of this lovable hack's movies, this particular "Die Hard-Alike" was shot in a real-life prison [that was brand new at the time - the owners allowed a few movies to be shot there so they could recoup some of the costs in building the then-state-of-the-art facility] where a falsely convicted cop must team up with a female reporter and your typical mötley crue of just-transferred inmates to prevent some nasty terrorists from nuking it and the whole of downtown Los Angeles and forcing the USA into a war with the Middle East - even though the terrorists here are as white as a hospital corridor.

Entertaining but of schlock for masochists but mere mortals will be tuning out...

My Grade: D+ [Disappointing]
