House GOP hits end of Biden impeachment effort

House Republicans are stepping back from efforts to impeach President Joe Biden, despite releasing a nearly 300-page report accusing him of “impeachable conduct.”

Although the investigation continues, GOP leaders, including Speaker Mike Johnson and key committee heads, have not pushed for an impeachment vote, signaling a lack of support within their slim majority.

Many Republicans admit they don’t have the votes needed for impeachment, with centrists skeptical of clear evidence linking Biden to a crime.

Instead, the party is considering other actions, such as criminal referrals for Biden’s family members and tightening financial disclosure laws, Politico has reported.
