Mike Benz: ‘The Biggest Data Breach in History Ignored by the Media’

Millions of Americans’ Social Security numbers were exposed in a data breach, yet media coverage is minimal, raising concerns about awareness and government response.

“The hacker world is filled with a lot of cowboys… it’s a world of professional rule-breakers who don’t have to answer in person. They are behind a computer screen… It’s quite feasible that somebody who’s able to hack both potentially the DoD and the FBI to get all these sensitive personal details could then theoretically either sell them to dark data vendors for a huge profit or run identity theft rings along with it.”

The hacker group, identified as U.S. DoD, is suspected of accessing and possibly distributing sensitive information on the dark web.

This breach, following other high-profile cyber attacks, highlights persistent cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
