Russian Drones Spotted over Nuke Plants in Germany

Germany is investigating suspected Russian surveillance drones flying over key nuclear infrastructure in the north, particularly near Brunsbüttel, a city close to the North Sea.

The drones, possibly Russian Orlan-10s, have repeatedly breached the no-fly zone over these facilities, prompting concerns of potential sabotage.

The Flensburg public prosecutor’s office and the Schleswig-Holstein state criminal police are leading the investigation.

This comes amid heightened German efforts against sabotage, following incidents like the recent tampering with a military base’s water supply.

Germany, a strong supporter of Ukraine in its conflict with Russia, has supplied significant military aid to Ukraine, including arms and air-defense systems, Newsweek has reported.
