Delivered during the Evenfall; Sunday Evening Worship, 8/18/2024. As Paul continues to use His own experience and relationship to Christ as an example for the church at Philippi, he strengthens our understanding of what it means to truly "know" Christ and be found in Him. He expresses the core of the Gospel by re-affirming that His righteousness is not His own but the imputed righteousness of Christ-- a righteousness that is the gift of faith. And then in several enigmatic statements he uses the glory and love expressed in Christ's death to define the power that now reigns in his life. We will carefully make our way through each of these to see that Paul is not speaking of joining Christ in death, but rather enjoying a fullness of life in Christ and for Christ, as he lives in the power of His resurrection!
