The Vanishing Hitchhiker

On a moonlit night, Jake picks up a hitchhiker named Emily, who requests a ride to Linden Street. As they drive, she remains eerily silent. Upon arrival, Jake discovers she has vanished from the car. When he knocks on the door of an old house, an elderly woman reveals that Emily was her daughter, who died in a car accident five years prior. Jake learns he encountered the local legend of the vanishing hitchhiker, leaving him shaken and wary of night drives.
