The Californication of the United States

The great economist Milton Friedman was quite liberal when it came to immigration-- except, he noted, when there is a welfare state. That’s the rub. American taxpayers should not allow open borders and should not be paying for illegal immigrants. Period. But that’s what they did in California and that’s what Harris and Walz want to do with the rest of the country.
