Democrats throw full support behind Harris’ proposed ban on price gouging

Speaking with Just the News Senior Correspondent Nicholas Ballasy at the Democratic National Convention, Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), Representative Dan Kildee (D-MI), and former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe defend Vice President Kamala Harris’ price gouging ban. “It’s not price controls. I mean, actually it was a Republican idea. Wage and price controls goes back to Richard Nixon. This is not that,” Rep. Kildee says. “This would be similar to what many of pursued during the COVID when [the] oil and gas industry was spiking gas prices, despite the fact that the barrel price hadn’t changed.”
