Replacing the engine air filter is critical to any engine as it stops dirt, dust, and debris from entering. Without the filter, those outside elements will get sucked in, damaging your Volvo's turbocharger or engine internals. However, a clogged filter is similarly bad, as flow reduction will hurt horsepower and fuel economy.
