MINI R56 Trunk Lid Grip Replacement DIY (2007-2015 MINI Cooper, Cooper S, JCW)

Trunks are useful when you can get into them. Unfortunately for R56 and R57 owners, the MINI's trunk lid latch button tends to break. Replacing the trunk lid grip and button assembly is a simple job that won't take you much time, all with the right tools. All that's needed is a ratchet, a T20 socket, a pick, and about fifteen minutes of your time. If you have that and a new trunk lid grip, you'll be back to having a functioning trunk in no time.

In this video, Mike Hidalgo, FCP Euro's professional DIYer, replaces a trunk lid grip and button on an R56 MINI Cooper.
