Chinese Dissident in U.S. Accused of Being Spy for CCP

08/22/2024 CBS News: The Justice Department has accused Yuanjun Tang, once a protestor against the CCP during the 1989 Tiananmen Square demonstrations, of actually being a spy for the CCP. Tang is accused of communicating with a Chinese intelligence officer living in mainland China over the last few years and sending information about the Chinese dissidents living in the U.S. to Chinese intelligence. And this is just another more recent example of CCP’s transnational repression cases.
