"Alien Invaders" || Unused Segment From One Of My Assignments

As the assistant composer to Richard Band, I compose additional music on his films. this cue was an alternate composition to the opening murder scene in the movie "Scalper" in which the killer returns and ties up loose ends with a previous character from the previous movie.

While I ended up making 5 alternates to get the right approach stylistically and energy wise just right, this was one that went way off course and sounded more like it should be in a terminator movie. The version used was more of a Bernard Hermann sound. This cue was not used anywhere in the film. This cue is very pulse pounding, loud, apocalyptic, and very electronic heavy - a far cry stylistically from the final approach that was used.
