Today, we explore how the instant gratification culture that caters to our every whim has a direct correlation to a rise in violence and unhappy lives. We also discuss the concept of delayed gratification, and how, if put into practice, it can be the antidote needed to combat the negative effects of instant gratification.

In some way, we are all guilty of buying into instant gratification, whether it be through our use of technology, food consumption, shopping, behavior in personal relationships, or violent encounters. How will you incorporate delayed gratification in your life?
