The GOP Must Not Allow Kamala And Tim To Cosplay As Change Agents

Posted • August 22, 2024: Kamala Harris is doing her level best to run in 2024 as the 'change' candidate. She really is pretending like she has not been the Vice President for the last 3 1/2 years in an administration that took care to always call itself the Biden/Harris Administration. The only reason she is making any progress in the polls is a concerted effort by her campaign and the press to paint her as 'historical' and what America needs after this dark period. They fail to mention, she and Joe Biden presided over this dark period. I'm told folks think Beyonce is going to show up tonight and sing 'Freedom'. That feels like a great strategy if Kamala was running as the 'Change' candidate. Problem is, she has been the VP for the last 3 1/2 years and is currently still VP.

I fully agree America needs 'Freedom"…specifically from the policies of the Biden Harris administration. First time homeowners can't afford a house because of the sky high interest rates, people are missing car payments because they need to buy groceries, and credit card defaults are at their highest levels in years. We'd all love some 'Freedom' from that. Having interest rates and housing prices be what they were under Trump would help home buyers wayyy way more than $25,000 for a down payment … We already have low and no money down loans / programs. FHA etc. Tim Walz has no skin in the game when it comes to the US economy. He’s never had a private-sector job. He doesn’t own a home or pay a mortgage. He’s not directly affected by unaffordable housing prices or high interest rates. He doesn’t own any stocks. He’s never built a business, raised capital, or had to struggle to make payroll. He’s probably never even looked at a P&L…and he’s definitely never had to manage a balance sheet.
Unlike most Americans, who rely on modest 401k funds to pay for retirement, Walz has three separate public-sector pensions: one from Congress, one from the military, and one from being a teacher. His retirement, unlike yours, is backed by the full faith and credit of the government—three times over. https://x.com/RobertMSterling/status/1821334510723535064 -- Harsh realities of the current US housing market: Home values peaked 2 years ago. There is no indication those values will return in the next 5 years. 2022: 30 yr rates were 3%. They are 7 today. P/I on $350,000 loan, 2022: $1476 -- Today: $2329. Who can afford to buy or sell? https://x.com/CarCarr5/status/1826058176543994307 -- Let’s talk about “joy”: Record high credit card debt, rent defaults, car loan defaults, credit card defaults, real wages are DOWN, ie not keeping up with crippling inflation, 2 wars and hundreds of thousand dead, record high people working part time jobs and record high # of retirees forced back to work.

Joyful times indeed. The tone deafness is frightening. I’m all for middle-class people serving in office. But a guy this disconnected from the economic reality of regular Americans isn’t someone I trust for a role this important. "Joy" as a campaign theme is remarkably tone deaf. 'The 47% of U.S. adults expressing high satisfaction with their lives has edged down three percentage points over the past year and is only one point higher than the 2011 record low for the trend.' https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GVl_G83WoAA0_0Y?format=png&name=900x900 -- Republicans must do one thing in order to win this election. Continue to tie Kamala Harris back to these policies because she is jointly responsible for those outcomes. In addition, Tim Walz bears the blame, as well. This is his Democratic party. He is a Democratic Governor. He believes in all these disastrous policies.

Ron DeSantis: "[Kamala Harris] is the change agent? She is offering this fresh start? […] If your house is on fire, would you bring in the arsonist to put out the fire?" - "She was instrumental in creating these [problems like high prices] at the grocery store." - "Somehow, she's gonna apply policies that are gonna fix the policies she already created?" -- Per usual, DeSantis nails it. Kamala and Tim may try to laugh and kick their legs giddily to the White House. America, please don't buy it.
