I found this particular trainer to be easy to set up and amazingly quiet and smooth. I bought this for my wife, who does not bike much at all but wants to start joining me in my indoor cycling sessions during the winter months.

The Wahoo sensor I mention toward the end of the video is a simple way to measure speed and distance on the bike, even indoors. It can be synced via Bluetooth or ANT+ to many cycling Apps to track progress.
