Roger Roots discusses the outrageous civil lawsuits against Trump and J6ers.

In the immediate aftermath of January 6, 2021, the District of Columbia, along with a few Capitol police and various "liberal" groups, sued Trump and the leadership of Oath Keepers and Proud Boys--alleging damages and injuries. But as Roots explains, all damages, costs, and injuries have already been reimbursed and compensated. First there were acts of Congress that (over)reimbursed all agencies for January 6 costs and harms. Then, federal judges imposed restitution orders against every J6er in amounts which totally paid for all estimates of damage.
