ABOUT SACCHIDANANDA ACHARYA

From Sacchidananda Acharya's biography:

“He teaches with humility and aims to guide students towards a profound understanding of Non-Duality and even Beyond Non-Duality to the experience of their True Self/Nature as Awareness. He aims to reveal our Ever-Present but veiled Bliss, Harmony, Peace, Presence, Awareness. The Ultimate Truth is Awareness full of Bliss, but even this is only a pointer because What There Is – Is Beyond any concepts.

Since 2012, he did not feel he needed any more practice and IT was something that he just knew. He is permanently convinced in the recognition that there Is Only Brahman-Awareness and Abides As That.”

In 2020, outside the Vidyashankara Temple at Sringeri Math, His Holiness Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Swamiji initiated Satchitananda into a sacred Shiva mantra and gave him permission to pass this on to his students. This is the first time in history that a Grihastha [family man] has received such an initiation [and permission].

In keeping with tradition, classes will be offered on an optional donation basis. You are very welcome to make a donation, however, it is entirely optional and in no way a pre-requisite for attending the class.

Although donations are optional, do consider making a contribution, as all donations will go towards the establishment of our residential Ashram in Greece. Without donations, our vision will not be possible.

ONLINE CLASSES CONTINUING AUTUMN 2024 – YOU CAN JOIN AT ANY TIME

We warmly invite you to a series of online classes on various scriptures of Advaita Vedanta, which are being offered freely [as per the scriptures] by Advaita Vedanta Ashram Europe.

The classes are taught by the Teacher at the Ashram, Sacchidananda Acharya, based on the Teachings of his Guru, the world-renowned Advaita Vedanta Acharya [Teacher], Swami Paramarthananda.

Sacchidananda Acharya has personally received the approval and blessings of Swami Ji to offer these classes based on his Teachings, and students can download for free the transcripts of Swami Ji’s Teachings that we will be covering.

We are currently studying the transcript: ‘Vivekacudamani 108 Verses by Swami Paramarthananda’, which you can download here:

You can also listen to the live recordings of Swami Paramarthananda’s Teachings on the Sastraprakasika app. This is highly recommended.

In each class, Sacchidananda Acharya will answer any questions that students have about the text in order to reveal the deeper meaning. Through Q & A, students will have a great opportunity to clarify their understanding and to remove any doubts they may have. Depending on the flow of questions, Q & A will be followed by a guided meditation allowing us to gain deep experience of the essential meaning of the truths we have discovered.

In a sense, Swami Ji’s text or recorded Teachings of Vivekacudamani, will function as Sravanam, [listening to the Teachings] and Sacchidananda Acharya’s classes will be function as Mananam [removing doubts, answering questions and clarifying the Teaching] and Nidhi Dhyasanam [Vedantic Meditation]. Therefore, it is essential to thoroughly study Swami Ji’s instructions and to prepare questions before Sacchidananda Acharya’s classes.

Thus between Swami Ji's and Sacchidananda Acharya's Teachings students will engage in Sravanam, Mananam and Nidhi Dhyasanam, the essential process as described and advised by the Scriptures.

Classes will be via Google Meet.
We will study Vivekacudamani on Mondays, starting at 7 pm Greek time. Classes run for one hour.

Students can join the class at any time. There will be regular term breaks.

In accordance with tradition, both classes and private meetings are offered freely, with donations entirely optional. Although they are not a prerequisite, donations will however be accepted and highly appreciated, either for our Noble Vision, for Sacchidananda Acharya and his family, or for both.

Sacchidananda Acharya also received Deeksha [a sacred Shiva Mantra] from Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Swamiji – the 37th Jagadguru of Sringeri - and permission to pass this Deeksha on to his qualified students.
