This does it all.
This is an all in one car entertainment, navigation and safety device that should work with any vehicle and any phone or tablet. It can play audio and mirror connected phones as well as output audio to the car speakers. It comes with a cable connected 1080p rearview camera to supplement the built-in 2.5K front facing dash cam with full connected GPS support, rear view camera parking aid, and 24-hour parking mode.

In the box, you get the main unit, rear camera with extended length cable, adhesive mount, suction mount, auxiliary cable, car cigar lighter power adapter, fitting kit, and a well written and easy to read user guide. A 64GB SD card is also included. Build quality seems fine and my only criticism is that there is no cable provided to power the unit from the USB port commonly found in modern cars. The 23.5 cm 1600x600 pixels touch screen features a power button on the top and in the bay on the side for the micro-SD card, Aux , AV in and USB-C power in ports.

Installing it is easy enough and it has several mounting options for the dashboard display unit. The power cable connects to the USB-C port and the rearview camera to the AV socket.

The forward camera is built into the rear of the main unit with an adjustable turret mount but this may not be enough to get an obstruction free view. A window mount is included but this may lift the screen out of reach for easy touchscreen navigation, so give some thought to how best to position it.

A screen mount is pFor automatic rearview reversing assist and for the built-in Parking Mode use you have to patch into your car’s wiring system but this is not necessary for normal use. The Aux port is used to connect non-wireless external speakers.

It can output audio to take advantage of your car’s speakers using Bluetooth, Mirrorlink, AndroidCast, the internal FM transmitter, or an Aux output cable although the display unit does have a built-in speaker. You can use Bluetooth to connect Android Auto, Android Cast, Apple Carplay and Apple Airplay devices for audio streaming and screen mirroring. It can also be used with Apple Siri and Google Assistant for voice control. Once setup and configured it will automatically reconnect to that configuration the next time it is used.

In dashcam mode, you have the option of a split display allowing you to monitor the 170° 2560x1440@25FPS wide angle front camera, the 1920x1080@23.976 rear or both together with access to touch screen buttons for audio, satnav or other active features. It is quick and easy to swipe between camera screens as well as to switch to satnav, audio, or any other available app with a choice of split screen options available.

I have to say I was surprised by just how well designed this unit is, with walk-throughs and on screen instructions helping you to get connected. The bright and clear screen display is excellent, and again better by far than I was expecting and capable of getting the best from the rear camera, which can be used as a second rear mirror or as an active reversing aid after tweaking the settings to configure it.

Once connected up and positioned as you wish you can use the touch screen to view either or both cameras, satellite navigation, and control your media playing or other applications in full or split screen modes. This all in one unit will give you all the in-car entertainment you need as well as adding to the safety and enjoyment of your journey.

The device has a built-in microphone for calls and for voice control and this works well for me.

Personally, I prefer to use my existing dual camera dashcam, allowing me to keep the Lamto screen lower down and within reach. I like the way it just auto configures itself. I turn my car on and it jumps to live satellite navigation with phone calls made and music automatically controlled through the Lamto but played through my car speakers using the in-car mic.

Worth the effort of setting it up, I think, for the current Amazon price of £125.99 before discounts.
