Archaeologists in Kazakhstan’s Turkistan region uncovered ancient treasures in a 2,000-year-old burial mound, believed to date back to the Kangyu Era.

The finds, which include a Chinese bronze mirror, a Roman fibula, gold earrings, and other items, suggest the buried individual was of high status.

The discoveries highlight the Kangyu state’s connections along the Silk Road with powerful empires like Rome and China.

The artifacts will be housed in the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Fox News has reported.
