This is definitely a Super Root. it's a nutrition powerhouse and comes loaded with benefits. No gluten, aids digestion, promotes sleep, boosts metabolic rate and get this: it builds the baby's immunity, helps them fight diseases and supplies them with some key nutrients. So give this one a try, you'll be glad you did.

How to prepare Arrowroot Porridge.

1, Harvest Arrowroot.

2, Strip them and give them a good wash. Wash a second time.

3, Chop in thin pieces.

4, Blend. You can aim to have to have the water on the same level as the Arrowroot. Save the pulp!

5, Get a basin and cover with a cheese cloth or similar material.

6, Pour mixture on your cloth on the basin and squeeze out all the juice (hope those wrists are good).

7, Cover the basin and let it rest for a few hours. One hour might be sufficient, but try going to three and tell me what it's like :)

8, While the liquid is setting, feel free to spread the pulp and dry it. Once dry, you can rub it in a metal steainer to get the fine particles which can be added to a future porridge to provide fiber. Or feel free to add it to any other dish.

9, After waiting for one or a few hours, take off the cover. You'll realize a dark liquid is on top. Pour it off. You'll see the white starch at the bottom.

10, Scoop out the starch. Mix with some water and add to warm water in your pot.

If making it for a baby, you'll have to decide what to add. One suggestion is to add green blended plantain, cook for about 20 minutes, cool, sweeten and then reheat and give it to the baby.

If you are doing it for the Family, you can add stuff like quinoa, oats, plantain, bulgur etc. Cook for about 30 minutes or until the ingredients are soft, sweeten, cool it totally and then reheat and serve.

Go ahead and give it a try. Let me know what's the best part for you, and please let me know if you enjoy it :)
