Using a DIY rain shield over my camera has it's downsides and problems - vlog

Not being able to access the flip-open display is a problem in terms of checking if it's recording, especially if I hit part of the button and not the whole thing, or I happened to bounce my finger off of it twice (which happened to the last video), or checking remaining runtime (battery status).

Protecting my equipment from water damage is a high priority, and that comes with it's own set of problems.
