Suicidal Thoughts

The very mention of suicide and suicidal thoughts can bring about discomfort and fear for many. It can be an awkward subject to talk about. The subject of suicide can trigger emotional alarm bells, maybe regarding the pain of suicide that took place in the family history or memories involving someone they know. Many do not even want to talk about it. A dark cloud can hang over even mentioning it.

Within the pain and discomfort, I believe it can be helpful to talk about it, work through the discomfort and gain some helpful perspectives. God is not afraid of the darkness and we don’t need to be either. In fact, there are many people going through very dark seasons, and it would be so helpful to gain insight on how to bring the loving light of God on this very painful subject.

In this broadcast I will cover:
1. Talk about the subject of suicidal thoughts with compassion, grace and sobriety.
2. Talk about factors of healing to be aware of when it comes to suicidal thoughts.
3. Address the influence of OCD and suicidal intrusive thoughts.
