I submitted this cue to Taxi A & R last week for a listing they had for Reality TV Light to Moderate Tension cues needed. I did not make the cut this time around, which is fine, because based on their feedback, I understand why it did not make the cut.
This final version that I am presenting here is my revamped version based on the suggestions for improvements and to be more competitive next time. These suggested improvements were to:
1. Reduce the amount of percussion I initially was using.
2. Remove some fast ascending string "flurries" (which I put back in as the music felt too bland and uninteresting without them)
3. Balance the audio levels of all the instruments for better dynamic depth and overall balance.
4. From a mixing and mastering standpoint I needed to ensure proper levels for True Peak and LUFS to make the cue Broadcast ready.
They have a bunch more listings upcoming to which I will be submitting original compositions. I will post them here as I complete them.
