Eight people were shot and four were killed during the first day of the DNC as the Democrat run city of Chicago, led by Mayor Brandon Johnson, was named the Murder Capital of the country for the 12th straight year.
According to recent statistics from the research group Wirepoints – homicides are up 50% from a decade ago, at least 617 people were murdered across Chicago last year. That’s compared to 416 10 years ago.
Those numbers put the Windy City on top of the list of every state in the country including Philadelphia’s 408 murders last year, and New York City’s 386 homicides.
