Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov presented the highest state awards – the Gold Star medals and the personalised firearms to Russian servicemen who showed courage and heroism in carrying out the tasks of the special military operation – at the National Centre for State Defence Control of the Russian Federation.

The Russian Defence Minister congratulated the servicemen on the high awards, thanked them for their exemplary performance of their duties, and wished them further success in military service.

'Today, in the difficult, responsible historical times for the country, you honour your military duty, show true courage and bravery. In practice, you prove your loyalty to the oath and to the Motherland, your readiness to reliably defend the sovereignty of our country and the safe life of our citizens,' stressed the Russian Defence Minister.

'Thank you for exemplary performance of your duties. The President of the Russian Federation has rightly appreciated your service,' said Andrei Belousov.
