2007 Toyota Prius Cleaning the Hybrid Battery Fan

This procedure covers model years 2004 through 2009 (Generation 2).
If your hybrid battery temperatures are hotter than they should be, or if you have a Check Engine Light for the hybrid battery fan, it's possible that your fan is clogged/dirty and needs to be cleaned.

There is no filter on these fans so any dirt or hair in the passenger compartment can be sucked into the fan and clog it up.
