According to a new Axios story, the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz campaign has been paying to have headlines in Google News search results altered to appear favorable to the campaign.

The headlines DO carry a “sponsored” tag but are otherwise indistinguishable from actual news stories from CNN, The Guardian and the AP.
