Dozens of semis will be delivering radioactive waste to a hazardous waste

The waste dates back to the 1940s and is from "Project Manhattan," which was the project that developed the atomic bomb used in World War Two. A woman lives near the landfill and just found out about the radioactive waste coming to the area yesterday morning and says they were not notified by the landfill or the township. Wayne County commission chair Alisha Bell says they are "deeply concerned about the constant dumping of toxic waste in our county.
