Tips for those who have trouble falling asleep #insomnia

🤷‍♀️ Sometimes we lie awake all night long and wonder why it is so hard to get a good night's sleep. 💤⁣

Ironically the more we think we can’t sleep, the more we can’t sleep ☝⁣

👉 Here’s a perfect #sleepaffirmation that I share with clients often:⁣

🌙 “I fall asleep easily each night. I sleep a deep, sound, peaceful sleep and wake just before the alarm feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready for an amazing day.”☀⁣


💤For me personally, if I wake during the night feeling alert, I place my hands on my heart and solar plexus, focus on my breath whilst I give myself Reiki healing and say to myself a good rest is just as good as sleep, a good rest is just as good as sleep. 😴💤⁣


This might sound strange but I’m incredibly grateful to be laying in bed, awake and rested, with no interruptions.⁣


👉 Here’s another tip for those who have trouble falling asleep⁣

⌚ 15 minutes before you’re usual bed time lie down on the floor next to your bed and close your eyes. ⁣


🎯 Focus on relaxing each part of your body starting with your toes and working up to your head.⁣


This is called progressive muscle relaxation.⁣


☺ When you are fully relaxed, get into bed and imagine that you're lying in a beautiful field or on a beach somewhere.⁣

Let yourself drift off to sleep feeling relaxed and peaceful. ⁣

You will probably find that you get more out of your sleep when you allow yourself to relax first. ⁣
