Hey everyone! It’s Lisa Jo, your essential oil girl, here to share a bit of my day and, yes, a story about my latest haircut adventure! How’s everyone doing? I hope you’re all splendid.

So, I’ve recently moved from Cocoa Beach, Florida, to Lone Tree, Colorado, and one of the things you’ve got to figure out with a move is where to get a good haircut, right? Well, I decided to try a haircut school, thinking there'd be a teacher there to swoop in and perfect things before I walked out the door. Spoiler alert: it didn’t quite go as planned.

Here's what happened: the girl who cut my hair was super sweet and on the cusp of graduating, but let's just say the cut was... memorable. One side was noticeably longer than the other! Thankfully, a teacher did step in to even things out a bit, but it was still quite the experience. Honestly, I always find trips to the haircut school an adventure—they take their time, which I appreciate, but it’s never a quick visit.

The whole thing, including a generous tip, cost me $24. And you know what? It’s fine. It’s all part of the adventure of settling into a new place. These experiences give me something to chuckle about and share with you all.

And oh, a little trivia about why I chose a haircut school this time: back in the 80s, I used to get my hair cut by this fantastic stylist who was also a teacher at a local school. He was an artist with hair, and those visits were always a treat. I guess I was hoping for a bit of that magic again!
