Socialism in our time and in the past.

I'm just wondering if Prime Minister of the UK Winston Churchell and the President of France Charles de Gaulle at the beginning of World War II could have foreseen the future of today and seen their beloved countries turning into socialist countries. I wonder if they would be so incline to fight Nazis Germany and Fascist Italy. As I said in a previous post I talked about the the word Nazis was an acronym meaning National Socialist Workers Party. So you see Nazis we're just socialist. Socialist like today. Oh they paint themselves as altruistic people out to help and to affirm everyone's life style but as the old fable says they are wolves in sheep's clothes. So my point is if Charles de Gaulle and Winston Churchell could see the future of their countries and see them turning into the very countries they were about to fight would they commit troops and money and resources to fight the Nazis.
Or would they have joined them as distasteful as it would be for them they would have saved millions of lives and destruction of property. Because it was Socialism then and it's Socialism now.
