When I first arrived in Europe, I quickly realized that Europeans had something I had never seen in Russia in my entire life—they spoke many languages.

I grew up in a small town in Russia called Bratsk, where I attended public school. Following the standard curriculum, I started studying English in the 5th grade and continued until the 11th grade. For seven years, I studied one foreign language. Despite earning the highest marks in English, I could barely speak it.

However, the decision of learning a foreign language has drastically changed my life forever.
