** Psalm 33 Blues | A Deep and Soulful Song Inspired by King David’s Psalm
** In this video, I present a blues rendition inspired by Psalm 33, a powerful hymn written by King David. This psalm reflects David’s deep faith and trust in God’s righteousness, faithfulness, and loving kindness. David composed this psalm to encourage the righteous to rejoice in the Lord, as God’s word is true and His works are just. It’s a reminder that the Lord's plans endure forever, and His love and protection are over those who fear Him and place their hope in Him.

Original Text (WEB):

“Rejoice in Yahweh, you righteous! Praise is fitting for the upright. Give thanks to Yahweh with the lyre. Sing praises to him with the harp of ten strings. Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a shout of joy!” (Psalm 33:1-3)

“Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness; to deliver their soul from death, to keep them alive in famine.” (Psalm 33:18-19)

Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Well, I’m singin’ to the heavens, playin’ on this old guitar,
The Lord’s word is righteous, it’s written in the stars.
He spoke the world into bein’, every breath, every sound,
From the depths of the ocean to the skies all around.

(Chorus)
Rejoice in Yahweh, let your heart be true,
His love is everlasting, it’s shining right through.
From the earth to the heavens, his glory we sing,
For our soul waits on Yahweh, our Savior, our King.

(Verse 2)
He gathers the waters, keeps ‘em in their place,
He looks down from heaven, sees every face.
No king’s gonna rise on the strength of his might,
A horse won’t save you in the darkest of nights.

(Chorus)
Rejoice in Yahweh, let your heart be true,
His love is everlasting, it’s shining right through.
From the earth to the heavens, his glory we sing,
For our soul waits on Yahweh, our Savior, our King.

(Bridge)
He fashioned our hearts, considers all our deeds,
His eyes on the faithful, on the ones in need.
To deliver our souls from the shadow of death,
He keeps us alive with each holy breath.

(Outro)
Let your loving kindness, Lord, cover us all,
We’ve hoped in your name, on your mercy we call.
So sing a new song, let it rise on the breeze,
With the joy of the righteous, let’s fall to our knees.

Rejoice in Yahweh, let your heart be true,
His love is everlasting, it’s shining right through.
For our soul waits on Yahweh, our Savior, our King.
