Vigilant Bible - Genesis 3:22-24

In this bible entry we figure out that the flaming sword doesn’t have to be a sword, in fact, it can be any type of sharp weapon, even a tool that is imbued with flames. Cherubs are divine beings that are more akin to angels, not chubby babies with wings. Using logic, the garden of Eden is fenced in… so the flaming sword is constantly turning to block the entrance to the tree of life… but it doesn’t need to turn because it’s at a gated entrance. The grammar used is inaccurate then. Most likely, the object that is “turning away” is Adam if he were to approach the garden of Eden. Thus, can the grammar be trusted?

I’m pretty upset about the poor translations of the KJV and the NIV and you should be too. That’s why I’m translating the bible myself with as little bias as possible by using the “non-literal” or “free translation” method. We are going straight from the Masoretic text to English.

If you need help finding a good translation of the bible and the VB hasn’t been fully translated yet, then consider a Septuagint. Most orthodox Christians and Catholics use a Septuagint rather than an NIV or a KJV. Always look at genesis chapter 4:9… most bible translations are inaccurate and read “am I my brother’s keeper?”. The verse translated properly actually means “I’m not my brother’s guardian, am I?” The term used for guardian is “keep” as in a “castle keep”… it means “to guard”. “Keeper” alludes to some form of slave ownership, with which, is inaccurate.
