Fede Alvarez has injected some new acid blood into the Alien franchise with Alien: Romulus. By taking the franchise back to its claustrophobic, space & body horror roots while modernizing the visuals and ramping up the pacing a bit, Romulus is the best Alien movie in 38 years. It feels right at home with the original to films, 1979's Alien and 1986's Aliens. Similar to Sigourney Weaver's Ripley, Rain in this film plays a reluctant heroine forced into a fight for survival alongside her charming android Andy. Alien: Romulus is a spiritual successor to Alien & Aliens and any fan of the franchise is sure to like this one too.
