#The 1804 Silver Dollar, often called the "King of American Coins," is one of the most famous and rarest coins in U.S. history. Despite its date, the coin was not minted in 1804 but in the 1830s, as part of a special production for diplomatic gifts. It is a large silver coin, similar in size and design to other Draped Bust dollars of the period, featuring Liberty on the obverse (front) and a heraldic eagle on the reverse (back).

The obverse design shows Liberty with flowing hair, facing right, surrounded by 13 stars representing the original colonies, and the date "1804" at the bottom. The reverse features an eagle with outstretched wings, holding arrows and an olive branch, symbolizing readiness for war and a desire for peace, respectively. Above the eagle is a banner reading "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and around the edge, the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" are inscribed.

Only 15 specimens of the 1804 Silver Dollar are known to exist, divided into three classes based on when they were minted and how they were distributed. These coins are highly sought after by collectors and have fetched millions of dollars at auctions, making them legendary in the numismatic world.
