One of Mackinac Island's two ferry brands is temporarily suspending services

Hoffmann Marine, the recent purchaser of Star Line Mackinac Island Ferry Company and the owner of Shepler’s Mackinac Island Ferry, announced a $4 million investment to fully restore the MIFC fleet. Currently, only three of MIFC's 10 ferries are operational. The company expects the repairs to be completed by next spring.
