Retro 80's Commercials from 1988 (45 Minutes)

Another great retro commercial collection from Junknasium! We've got some really good ones in here folks. Lots of great commercial jingles and songs and some creative parody commercials. Oh, and some of the biggest 80's women's shoulder pads you've ever seen. Plus lots of soap opera and other TV show trailers and previews. Finally, some jezebels scheme about marrying a millionaire. I love the 80's!

*Dinty Moore- "No preservatives!? Only 240 calories per serving? I didn't know that!" What accent is that kid in the fez supposed to have? Stage Irish?
*Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan- My very favorite Star Trek movie, because it's the best one. Great epic narration and graphics for THE BEST star trek movie.
*Alberto Mousse and Alberto Hot Oil Commercial Song- Sexy ladies wearing eye patches and singing about oiling up. What was this commercial for again? "Owww Alberto" "Don't be so mean to your hair, get hot."
*1986 Toyota 4x4 Truck "Who Could Ask For Anything More!"- Please note that the commercial itself did not put a question mark at the end of their slogan, which is clearly a question. Toyota, please have your ombudsman reach out to me so that I may claim my cash reward, thank you. Grammar aside, this is the rootenest, tootenest Toyota 4runner/Tacoma/Truck commercial you've ever seen. Someone please tell me who the narrator is, this guy goes hard. Also this was a point in time where a lot of Japanese automakers didn't name their vehicles. This commercial is for "Toyota Truck".
*Robinson's Beauty Salon- Jaws/Friday the 13th parody. It has the killer POV of a horror movie and the music of Jaws. Odd choice for a hair salon.
*Sun Light Dishwasher Detergent- Great looking animated comic book cartoon commercial. Sorry about the shaky cam...tapes are degrading...
*Fudge Covered Oreos- This lady is having a cookiegasm. "I'll have what she's having"
*The Donnelley Directory- Somehow they licensed Looney Toons Cartoons for this Yellow book phonebook alternative. That seems very expensive for a regional phone book to do. I have never heard of this phonebook before I saw this commercial.
*L'Oreal Eye Lash- "Lash Out!" says Andie McDowell (Of Groundhog Day fame)
*Lime A Way- Terminator Style Commercial for bathroom cleaner
*Stauffers French Bread Pizza
*Soft & Dry- "If you're not a little nervous then you're not a alive"
*KFC Fries- Motown Parody
*Keebler Tato Skins
*Parkway Spread-A giant disgusting jug of margarine. It's like a gallon of that stuff. Gross.
*Jergens Jingle "Smoothing Out the Rough Spots"
*1986 Audi Commercial- Michele Mouton Driver
*Diet Dr. Pepper Personals Ad Jingle- I had no idea where that commercial was going until the Dr. Pepper can came up. Sorry about the shakiness.
*Scrub Free- This 80s redhead looks like Molly Ringwald.
*Fibre Trim Fruit Tabs- Speaking Danish and talking about cheese.
*Budget Gourmet Animated Commercial: Men and women argue about side dishes. Also, is cheese tortellini really a "side dish?" That is not a side dish. No wonder they were arguing.
*Rosarita Salsa and Mexican Dishes- Um, who had grocery delivery in 1986 and why did they send 2 guys. This is like a set up to those OTHER kind of movies they have on VHS tapes. You know, the ones I'm talking about. And the actress kind of looks and sounds exactly like Rosalind Chao who played Keiko O'Brien on Star Trek TNG AND DS9.
*Good Morning America News Clips and other ABC (and NBC) TV show Trailers: Growing Pains, One Life to Live, 1988 Election coverage, sleazy marry a millionaire story, etc.
