House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) confirms the Secret Service turned down security recommendations for former President Donald Trump ahead of the July 13 assassination attempt. “I like to remind people that the Secret Service has 8,100 employees and they have an annual budget of $3.1 billion,” he says.
