Gerber Flatiron Pocket Cleaver with Black Aluminum Grip, Frame Lock, and 7Cr17Mov Blade Steel

The Gerber Flatiron pocket cleaver features a 7Cr17Mov blade steel across the lineup. This tough stainless steel capable of various outdoor applications and with the robust frame lock mechanism makes this Gerber a very durable pocketknife.

Unfortunately, the Flatiron by Gerber disappointed me because it suffers from many build quality issues. The Flatiron has a very poor opening and closing action - plus the detent mechanism is not functional. On top of that, the low-quality hardware screws prevent disassembly, and the Flatiron comes with all kinds of blemishes right out of the box.
