Why We Stand

We recently went to the Cody, WY Rodeo. To our surprise, they had a really cool opening with the Star-Spangled Banner and this awesome poem called Why We Stand that they played on the big screen. This is our video design of that poem to share.

WHY WE STAND is a poem recited at the Cody, WY Rodeo. Im not sure who wrote it but the name "Maury Tate" comes up. He may be the narrator and possibly the writer of the poem. I wanted to make sure he got recognition. But, recognition should also be given to Cody Rodeo at the Buffalo Bill Cody Stampede Park for displaying the poem and for the patriotism they show at each Rodeo.

While I don't have the poem's full text, it typically speaks to the values and sacrifices associated with the flag, highlighting themes such as freedom, bravery, and the honoring of those who have served the country.

Reciting such a poem at a rodeo aligns with the patriotic atmosphere and traditions that are a part of these events, particularly in places like Cody, Wyoming, where there is a strong sense of national pride and appreciation for American heritage. If you are looking for the specific text of the poem, I would recommend checking with the Cody Rodeo organizers or local sources that might have a copy of the poem recited there WHY WE STAND.

Thank you very much for watching our video and supporting our channel. We really appreciate it.
