Digital ID Act Is "Safe and Voluntary" Per Australia's Finance Minister

Finance Minister Katy Gallagher reveals that the Digital ID Act 2024 will officially commence from 1 December, 2024. The timing is in lockstep with other nations rolling out similar legislation.

She ensures Australians that the system will provide individuals with a “safe and voluntary” way to verify your identity for use in online transactions with government and businesses.

I seem to recall the "Safe and Effectives" being "Voluntary" a few short years ago.
