On August 18th, John's guest will be Jake Rademacher, Founder & President of Metanoia Films & Perseverance Productions. Between 2005-2007, Jake risked everything, including his life, to tell the story of his brothers serving in Iraq. While filming this award-winning feature film, Brothers at War, Jake was embedded with multiple units, filmed numerous combat engagements, and interviewed more than forty combat veterans in the warzone. The film played in movie theatres and premiered on Showtime on Memorial Day. To help Service Members and their Families process their experiences, Jake created the Brothers at War Resiliency Workshops. These workshops have been conducted for over 40,000 Service Members and their Families since 2011. In 2019, he partnered with the Gary Sinise Foundation on his latest feature film, Brothers After War, with Emmy Award Winners Gary Sinise and Phil Gurin as executive producers. Brothers After War recently World Premiered winning Best Military Film and Best Documentary Audience Choice Awards at the San Diego International Film Festival. The film will be released in movie theatres next year. Jake has also written, directed, and produced numerous commercials and short films. Jake's work has garnered numerous awards, and he is a Canon Chasing the Light Filmmaker. The Caucus of Producers, Writers, and Directors awarded him the Distinguished Service Award. He is also an honorary Colonel in the Oklahoma National Guard. He is a member of the Directors Guild of America and SAG/AFTRA.
