'Daughters' a push for social change, its directors say

"Daughters," a documentary about young girls and their incarcerated fathers, is both a healing tool for its subjects and a change-maker for communities, its directors say. Co-director Angela Patton, founder of the Camp Diva Leadership Academy and CEO of Girls for a Change, said she hoped the four young Black girls who star in the documentary "look back at this film and they say 'Wow, because we did this, we have changed policies.'"
