Odd Man Out (1947)

Directed by Carol Reed, starring James Mason as Johnny McQueen, the leader of an Irish nationalist group. The story takes place in Belfast, where Johnny is wounded during a botched robbery intended to fund their cause. As he tries to evade capture and survive his injuries, Johnny drifts through the city's dark streets, encountering various people who either help or hinder him, each revealing different facets of human nature.
