Sept. 20, 1964 - Jim Bakken’s fourth field goal of the afternoon, a 28-yarder with five seconds remaining, enabled the Cardinals to tie the Browns today, 33-33.
Cleveland had gone ahead, 33-30, with 48 seconds left on Jim Brown’s one-yard plunge. Charlie Johnson moved the Cards into field goal range with three long passes to set up the tie.
Lou Groza’s extra point after the Browns’ first touchdown was his 1,000th NFL point.
