TONGUES: The Prayer that HEALS

1 Corinthians 14:4 When you pray in your prayer tongue, it edifies you. The greek word for "edify" is oikodomeo, which means to build the house or to build up the house. Your body is the house or temple of your own human spirit, therefore it is the temple or house of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, when you pray in your prayer tongue you are building up your body with the life, vitality and strength of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:26 "The Holy Spirit helps with our "weaknesses", for we do not know what to pray for as we ought..." The Greek word for "weaknesses" is astheneia which is also translated as sicknesses in other verses in the New Testament. Therefore, the Holy Spirit helps us against our sicknesses by inspiring us to pray supernaturlly.
