An ancient meaning of mukabi.
To weaken the momentum of an advancing fire.
To start a fire from this side of the fire in order to weaken the momentum of a burning fire.

To show more anger than the person one is angry with.
To reduce the momentum of an angry person by showing more anger than he or she is angry with you.

I wrote, however, the video is a quiet scene.

Originally, since the Warring States period
(End of 15th to end of 16th century)
with swords(katana) in their hands.
there were not many scenes of people facing each other.

But this story is set before the Warring States Period, so I dared to depict such a scene in this film.

Or rather, they are purely sitting on the floor, facing each other, and closely together,
Facing each other means
Iai (Japanese martial art using a sword)
It seems to be a difficult situation to face the enemy as an iai.
